Hi World!

I´m Ilja – a multimedia artist based in Cologne, Germany. I started my journey into digital art early in life: at 12, I began to teach myself tools such as Photoshop, Flash, and Cinema 4D. I still use them all today – and I’ve never stopped searching for new forms of artistic expression since.

In 2010, I started my formal education at Köln International School Of Design, where I graduated 6 years later with a Bachelor of Arts. “KISD offers a unique study model within Germany that connects different fields of design systematically in an international environment.” It was the perfect place for me to learn the basic principles of design and to combine my existing 3D and programming skills with experimental project work. During my time at KISD, I discovered virtual reality, motion capture, photogrammetry, video, and photography – and extended my 3D skills in rendering and interactive environments.

Today, I try to keep that kind of variety alive in my work – discovering creative solutions for unique digital products. I understand digital media as a language that I strive to speak as fluently as possible. My main professional focus is 3D visualization and art for linear and interactive media, but I see myself as more of an interdisciplinary media generalist. Combining art, design, interaction, digital and analog into one single experience is what really floats my boat.

Please inquire about commissions, available work, or anything else at all!
